About the event
In 2010, Ziauddin Sardar argued that everything that was "normal" had evaporated. The 2008 crisis generated a global social and economic transformation that led us to what Sardar (2010) called postnormal times (TPN). With this term he referred to a historical and social moment characterized by the three "c": complexity, chaos and contradictions. Climate change, the Lehman Brothers crisis, and the 2009 H1N1 swine flu pandemic, along with the energy crisis, changes in the geopolitical landscape, dwindling natural resources, and the threat of terrorism, have shown us that the orthodox systems of management, policy and planning no longer functioned in the context of this new world. The most relevant aspect of this theoretical-philosophical proposal is that in order to deal with the postnormal times imagination and creativity are proposed as a starting point to face complexity, contradictions and chaos, in those historical, sociological and political contexts in which uncertainty prevails (Cilliers, 2005 and…
